Hola!

Hello everyone! Welcome, welcome. Wish I could think of a really great opener, but due to last night’s activities I just don’t think I can deliver you a dose of ‘witty’ right now. SOooo as this is my first ever blog post, I’m just going to give a little disclaimer: I’m new at this and don’t really have a desire to censor anything, so whether you are my Nana and Papa, or just some random ass creeper on my blog, you’re going to have to deal with whatever is written on here- profane, inappropriate, adverse to your beliefs, beyond your understanding or abbreviated, cause it will happen (even though I’ll try to keep it clear for the oldies attempting to stay in tune with me), whatever. If you have something to say, kindly leave your comments, but don’t be surprised if I delete it or put you on blast if you bitch about what I choose to put up here - pictures, text, whatever. Kewlies??? Alright, great. So let’s begin…

In case anyone cares, my actual name is Sydney Langford- you can call me Syd Vicious only if you’re sweet. Or if you know about the wrestler. Cause I sure didn’t.

And as for my blog name— thanks to my clever boyfriend, Michael, Slangfordize Me came about.

A little anecdote for you: you see, my Illinois.edu email address was assigned as ‘slangfo2’ before I started at this wonderful place. Little did I know that someone would creep on my Facebook profile and realize that ‘slangfo’ can be used in a variety of contexts- por ejemplo, her wall post to me read, “There are many jokes to be made about your school email... just who do you slang fo? And just what do you slang?” Clever huh? Then some dance team girls picked it up… etc. etc. and Slangfo became a catchy little phrase that I thought could work for my blog. Beat out a few other ideas…I wasn’t too witty that day either, so thanks Mike, you’re the shit, and I want everyone to know it, holla!

So. Whenever you need to be Slangfordized (AKA- Given a little taste of whatever is going on in my everyday student life—mostly for my family, who believe I don’t call home enough to give them updates on anything and everything from my eating/pooping schedule to how ‘classes’ are going. Or if you’d like to see what I’ve been recently enlightened about, pissed about, happy about, etc., then you know what to do!)

So hopefully I can find the time in between schooling, working, and gettin rowdy to leave a little love on here as much as possible – wouldn’t want to treat this like my old journals and leave it high and dry for months on end…

All for now, hope to see you back lovers!
